Getting Folks to Visit Your Website

Image result for website

Do you develop your website for your target market? The website is good even in its default presentation, but there are so many opportunities to enhance its use. One way is by adding content (additional pages) with your distinct message and tools you offer to your real estate clients and prospects in your social media and other online marketing venues.

Let’s say you want to promote a page titled ‘My Special Properties’ online, but for some reason you did not want the page to display when someone comes directly to your website home page. Here is how to do it:

  1. While in My Office, hover over Site Builder, slide to Content, and click Pages.
  2. Under any of the four Main Navigation Tabs that accept drop down pages click ‘Add Page.’
  3. Title the page, click Add, then click ‘Edit Content.’
  4. Add your material to the page and click Submit.
  5. The page now has been added to the Main Navigation button content, but it is ‘hidden’ from view at the website.
    1. If you want to create direct access to that page at social media or other online marketing venues, temporarily click Show so you can grab the URL for that specific page.
                                                              i.      After clicking Show, go to that page in your live website.
                                                            ii.       Copy the URL.
    1. Return to the Site Builder > Content > Pages for that page and click Hide.
  1. Insert the page URL at any online venue you want it to display (Here’s one I developed years ago): http://www.chipmorris.com/chipselectproperties.aspx

Notice the visitor goes directly to that page but it is displayed within my website and the visitor can then easily conduct searches, etc.  By the way, during the time I actually worked that page, I got significant visits and comments from folks who just wanted to see my next ‘special property’.

Don’t miss opportunities to expand the utilization and promotional opportunities of your website!
